What travelers ask before their first semi-private seat
Yes. Semi-private flights sell individual seats on a 6–9 seat private jet cabin, so you may fly with other guests. If you want the whole aircraft to yourself, request a full private charter quote instead and we'll return three options side by side.
No main-terminal TSA line. You check in at the Fixed Base Operator (FBO) — the private terminal. Identification is verified, but there are no long security queues, no shoe removal, and no liquid baggies. Total time from curb to cabin is typically under 15 minutes.
Plan to arrive 15–30 minutes before departure at the FBO. That is dramatically shorter than the 2-hour window recommended for commercial flights, and one of the biggest time wins of flying semi-private.
Light jets like the Citation CJ3 or Phenom 300 typically allow one standard carry-on plus a personal item per seat, with limited checked baggage in the baggage compartment. Soft-sided bags are strongly recommended because they fit the oval baggage door more easily.
